Chex Mix Muddy Mix

Ok, I seriously can't make this stuff very often because it is way too addicting!!! Wow!! We did, however, make it for a book project for The Gruffalo. :)

This recipe would normally use peanut butter, however my son is allergic to both peanuts and tree nuts, so we use soy butter instead. It is just as good! :)

Here's what you need:

9 cups plain Chex Mix cereal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 stick on butter
2/3 cup of soy butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar

What to do:

1. First, scoop the Chex Mix out into a large bowl and set aside.

2. In a medium sized saucepan, melt the butter, chocolate chips, soy butter, and vanilla.
(This should take about 5 minutes if you heat it on low.)

3. Pour the liquid mix into the Chex Mix cereal and stir until everything is covered.

4. Separate the mix into 2 freezer bags. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar to each bag. Seal up, and shake well.

5. Enjoy!!! :)
