Homemade Granola

Granola is healthy for you, and it is a good treat. :) I love eating granola, however the stuff that you buy in the store typically is not safe for my peanut and tree nuts allergy son. There is typically a cross contamination risk even if the granola doesn't have nuts in it. So, I decided to make our own granola. It is delicious, addicting, and easy to do!!

Here's what you need:

5-6 cups of oats (any)
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 honey
1/2 cup of chocolate chips (optional)

What to do:

1. In a large bowl, mix the oats and chocolate chips together.

2. In a separate bowl, melt the coconut oil and honey in the microwave for about 45 seconds. Then pour into large bowl and mix.

3. Once everything is mixed together, separate it out onto a large cookie sheet.

4. Preheat the oven to 250F degrees.  Then bake the granola for 22 minutes.

5. Cool and put into containers.

6. Enjoy!! :)
