Ice Cream Shop!

We had a fun filled week with the letter I a couple weeks ago. I is for ice cream! Since most ice cream shops are not safe for Harry because of his peanut and tree nuts allergy, I made our very own exclusive ice cream shop for the boys!! We used edible pumpkin apple play dough as the ice cream, and each boy had to "pay" for their ice cream. All 3 boys LOVED this activity today! Success!! :)

Here's my recipe for pumpkin apple play dough:

Needed:
3 apples
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 cup flour (any)
2 tablespoons olive oil

Here is how you make it:

1. First, peel and chop up 3 apples, and place them it a medium saucepan with 3/4 cup water.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of cinnamon and cook over medium heat for 25 minutes.

3. In a large bowl, mix 1 cup flour and 2 tablespoons of olive oil together. Set aside.

4. After 25 minutes, mash up the apples with a potato masher.

5. Add the applesauce and pumpkin puree to the flour and olive oil, and mix well!

The Ice Cream Shop How to:

**I flipped a tote upside down and put a blanket over it. I made a sign and prices for the ice cream. I then added bowls of sprinkles, Cheerios, and yogurt for toppings.

**I made fake money for the boys so they could buy their ice cream. Each boy got $10 to spend.

**Harry was in charge of the shop, and he helped scoop the ice cream for the babies. He also took their money. This required some help, but he had fun!

**At the end, Harry counted how much money he made, and the boys enjoyed their ice cream.

So much fun!!!!! :)
