Green Tea Avocado Chocolate Chip Cookies



Ok... I know this sounds crazy and weird. Green tea in cookies?! Avocado in cookies?! How could this be a cookie?! How could this even taste good?! I swear these cookies are delicious, AND they are healthy. Win win!! Eating dessert can be healthy and guilt free. :) These cookies are also vegan too! 

By the way, green tea has so many awesome health benefits, and these cookies give you a little energy boost. :)


Here's what you need:

1 cup flour

1/2 avocado

1/3 cup ground flaxseed

3-4 green tea bags (and water)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/5th of a celery stalk finely chopped 


What to do:

1. Mix all of the dry ingredients, which includes the flour, baking soda salt, cinnamon, flaxseed, and chocolate chips in one bowl. Set aside. 

2. Chop up 1/5th of a celery stalk into very very small pieces. Then mash it up with the avocado and unsweetened applesauce in a small bowl. Set aside.

3. Heat up 6oz. of water in the microwave for about 1 minute. Then add 3-4 green tea bags into the water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.

4. Add the green tea to the dry ingredients and mix well. 

5. Then, add the mashed up avocado and celery, and mix well again. 

6. Preheat oven to 350F degrees. 

7. On a lightly greased cookie sheet, scoop small to medium sized cookie balls onto it. 

8. Bake for about 14-18 minutes depending on how soft you want the cookies. 

9. Cool and enjoy! :)
